We sponsor the Parkview Primary School Fundraiser

Technology is everywhere, entwined in almost every part of our lives. It affects how we shop, socialize, connect, play, and most importantly learn. With it’s ever increasing presence in our lives it makes sense to have mobile technology in the classroom.

If used correctly, technology can help prepare pupils for their future careers, which will inevitably include the use of wireless technology. Which is why when we were approached about a local school who are holding a Ladies Night Fundraiser in an effort to raise money to buy Kindles and iPads to be used within the classroom, we felt it would be a very worthwhile cause for pcr as a technology company to sponsor.

The event – which takes place this Friday 29th May – is in aid of the newly built Parkview Primary School in Halfway to buy new wireless tablets in an effort to extend reading resources for the children. We have made a monetary donation to the event and will be happy to advise on any technology queries the school have when they are able to make their purchase (fingers crossed)!

However, whilst this is the main aim of the event, it is hoped there might be a little money available to fix the schools greenhouse which was sadly vandalised over Easter. The children had been working hard prior to the Easter break to grow their own plants and vegetables but the break in has left them in ruins and the children understandably upset.

The event is taking place at Halfway Bowling Club, Mill Road, Cambuslang, G72 7QG.  Tickets are £5 and will be available to buy at the door on the night or prior from Park View Primary School, New Road, Halfway, G72 7PU. Everyone is welcome to attend.

If you are moved by the story as we were, but cannot attend the event itself, then the Parent Partnership Committee of the school would be very appreciative of any items donated which could be raffled or indeed if anybody also wishes to sponsor the event in this fundraising campaign like we did, you can do so directly by contacting the school here.

Please share this blog in an effort to raise awareness of the event and lets help raise money for a great cause!
